President Akufo-Addo Removes EC Chairperson, Two Deputies From Office

President Akufo-Addo has removed form office the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC), Mrs Charlotte Osei and her two deputies.

A statement from the Communications Directorate at the Jubilee House and copied to GBCONLINE says the removal of Mrs Charlotte Osei and two of her deputies; Mr Amadu Sulley and Ms Georgina Opoku Amankwah from office takes immediate effect.

The decision follows a recommendation by a Committee set up by the Chief Justice, Justice Sophia Akuffo.

The Committee recommended their removal on the basis of stated 'misbehaviour' and 'incompetence'.
