Dr. Thomas Mensah pledges to move Ghana to meet world’s standards

An inventor of Fiber Optics and a Nano Technology expert, Dr. Thomas Mensah says his outfit is committed to working with government to attain the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) to meet the global standards of development.

Speaking on GBC’s ‘Uniiq Break Fast Drive’, Dr. Mensah mentioned that, “Resources of the country are enough to depend on for development than begging for help from other countries.” 

Dr. Mensah said he has three key proposals that include Silicon Valley of Ghana which was launched recently, Aircraft manufacturing and maintenance facilities and high speed rails which would be completed in three years. 

Speaking on the importance of Silicon Valley of Ghana, he said Silicon Valley Ghana is the first of its kind in Africa. 

“Within two month, the Silicon Valley was launched, Google is moving their artificial intelligent to Ghana,” he added.

In addition, on the issue of the high speed rails, Dr. Mensah stated that, the Minister of Railways and Development, Joe Ghartey has been responsive towards the implementation of the railways development proposal.

He said the railways when completed will facilitate easy transport of farm crops onto the market. This, he explains, would prevent crops from rotting on the fields and also improve on the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) ratio of the country. 

He however, called on the Aviation Minister to quicken her steps in the implementation of the project to help in easy exportation of goods for more revenues and development.
