Office of former President Rawlings describes as false suggestions that his decision to register for the Ghana Card is to make Minority do same The office of former President Jerry John Rawlings has described as 'spurious' suggestions that his decision to register for the Ghana Card is a call for the Minority in Parliament to follow suit. A statement signed by Communications Director for Mr. Rawlings Kobina Andoh Amoakwa, said the principle of Ghana having a valid Identity Card System is what the former President is committed to. The statement says the former President respects the Minority's position to ensure that the process is transparent and easily accessible to all. It urges stakeholders, including the NIA as well as the Minority and Majority caucuses to discuss concerns raised on the Ghana card. His statement comes a day after MP for Ningo Prampram, Sam George suggested that the former President might have been misled to register for the Ghana card. GBCONLINE ---DECRYPTED---
