Ex-staff of Capital, UT banks petitioned president over severance pay About a thousand two hundred Workers of the defunct Capital and UT Banks have petitioned the President to personally intervene to facilitate the immediate payment of all their entitlements which were agreed with the Joint Receivers on the 15th of January this year. The petition, dated 20th of May, 2018 and copied to the Chief of Staff, also appealed to the President to intervene for all outstanding leave days to be paid as per the Labour Act 2003, sections 25 and 26. The workers also appealed for a waiver of their staff loans as a result of what they called, ''extenuating circumstances.''
