President Akufo-Addo continues mediation efforts in Togo The government of Togo and the 14 opposition political parties are currently hold up in a meeting aimed at finding solutions to the political stalemate in that country. The talks initiated by ECOWAS is being spearheaded by President Akufo Addo and his Guinean counterpart Alpha Conde. President Akufo Addo expressed worry that progress has not been made since the last meeting, adding that the situation in that country has gotten worse. He asked the Government of Togo and the Coalition of Opposition parties to table their major concerns about the political crisis in order to guide their mediation effort going forward.
