Residents of Akweteman and environs hit by acute water shortage

Residents of Akweteman and its environs at Achimota in Accra have been hit by acute water shortage for the past week. 

The residents say no explanation has been given any for the shortage. 

It is feared the situation can cause food vendors in the area to resort to unclean sources of water to prepare food for public consumption. 

This situation if not rectified has the potential of causing a Cholera outbreak in the area.
