Assassination attempt? AU asked to prioritize security on continent 

International Relations and Security Expert, Irbard Ibrahim, says last Saturday's (June 23) assassination attempt on Zimbabwe's President is a wake-up call for the AU to take security issues of the African continent seriously.
 
Speaking to GBC’s Radio Ghana, Mr. Irbard said the AU should have envisaged such attacks and taken precautionary measures. 

He explained that the AU should have known that ousting of leaders like Robert Mugabe and Yahayah Jameh will not guarantee total peace in those countries.
