Nigerian Pop star Davido wins Best International Act

Nigerian pop star Davido has won the Best International Act at the BET awards in Los Angeles.

In his victory speech to an audience packed with A-list African-American celebrities, Davido said that Africa "has been so blessed".

"I'm telling you guys - come to Africa, eat the food, wear the clothes," he added.

"Let's collaborate, everybody. Let's collaborate, man," he said.

Meanwhile, South Africa's public broadcaster, SABC, is focusing on the fact that local hip-hop star Jabulani ‘Sjava’ Hadebe won the Viewers' Choice award.
