NDC constituency elections underway across Ghana

The National Democratic Congress, (NDC), is currently holding elections in 259 Constituencies across the country to elect executives. 

The outstanding 16 Constituency elections will be held later because some of the disqualified contestants have appealed against their disqualification. 

In the Ashanti Region, the Kumasi High Court has placed an interlocutory injunction on the constituency elections of the NDC. 

The 33 plaintiffs, argue that elections at all the branches in the constituency have not been held, a situation they consider as a clear violation of the party's constitution.
