GWCL spills excess water from weija dam

The Ghana Water Company has started the Spillage of excess water from the Weija dam. 

The PRO of NADMO, George Ayisi says NADMO has embarked on a programme to sensitise residents in the Weija catchment area prior to the spillage.

Mr Ayisi  said relocating the residents requires a major policy decision  to be made by the government. 

He said the excess water can be directed into a second dam for other uses such as irrigation.
