Strengthen Sino-African Strategic Partnership - African leaders urged African leaders have been challenged to play roles that will strengthen Sino-African Strategic Partnership to ensure mutual benefit. The Partnership among other initiatives is geared towards leveraging people-to-people exchanges for a win-win situation. The President of the Research and Training Institute of the State Administration of Radio and Television of China, Men Lijun stated this at the opening of a three week training programme for senior media personnel from English-Speaking African Countries in Beijing, China. He noted that as developing societies, China and Africa are faced with unique opportunities for fast growth and complicated global challenges. To this end, both parties should cooperate and give full support to the partnership to achieve common development. The Chinese Government sponsored training programme is aimed at equipping participants with new skills in information Technology, new media platforms as well as promote media cooperation and Sino-African partnership.
