Education Ministry to introduce use of single admission for Public Universities

The Ministry of Education in collaboration with the management of public universities and parents is to introduce the use of a single admission platform for public universities beginning next academic year.

The Minister of Education, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh stated this on the floor of Parliament when he responded to a question by MP for Akatsi North, Peter Nortsu Kortoe, who wanted to find out what the Ministry is doing to prevent public universities from charging exorbitant fees on admission forms. 

Dr. Prempeh said going forward, fees for the admission forms will have to be fixed by Parliament when the Fees and Charges Act is passed.
