Court receive health report on Dr Obengfo The Police has furnished a District Court in Accra with the Health report from Ridge Hospital of Dr. Dominic Kwame Obeng-Andoh, Proprietor of Obenfo Hospital who is receiving treatment at the facility. Dr. Obeng-Andoh who was in court is being held for the murder of the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship Innovation Programme (NEIP), Stacy Offei Darko. On June 12, this year, the court presided over by Efua Sackey ordered the Greater Accra Regional Hospital to furnish it with a comprehensive report on the health status of the ailing medical practitioner. The Police alleged that Dr Obeng-Andoh had refused to show up in court although he was well. The content of the medical report were however not made public. The Prosecution informed the court that a duplicate docket was being prepared and same would be forwarded to the Attorney-General’s Office. According to Chief Inspector Apoirsornu, investigations are ongoing and the Police is awaiting information from some public institutions it wrote to, concerning the matter. 49-year-old Dr Obeng-Andoh, presently unlicensed medical practitioner is alleged to have performed a surgery on Ms Offei Darko whose office operates from the Jubilee House. He faces a charge of murder, although on admission at the Police Hospital over a medical condition. His plea is yet to be taken by the Court. A cleaner at the hospital, Edward Amponsah, is being held for impersonation. Amponsah’s plea has been preserved. Both men have been remanded into custody by the Court.
