Call to screen newborn babies for Sickle Cell

The President of Sickle Cell Foundation of Ghana, Professor Kwaku Ohene-Frimpong says screening newborn babies for sickle cell is important in the treatment of the disease in Ghana and Africa as a whole. 

Speaking at a durbar to mark World Sicke Cell Day at Korle-Bu, Prof. Ohene-Frimpong accused successive governments of not providing funds to support the treatment of the disease.
