Chamber of Mines has held a workshop for mining firms in the country


The Chamber of Mines in partnership with stakeholders in the mining sector has held a workshop for mining firms to deepen and enhance procurement of grinding media for effective mining in the country.

The grinding media is an equipment used in reducing the size of rock-ore for the extraction of gold. 

Speaking at the workshop in Tema, the Chief Executive of the Chamber of Mines, Sulemanu Koney, said considering the strides made over the years in the mining sector, Ghana has the opportunity to locally manufacture grinding media to boost mining.
