THE DAILY GRAPHIC: acknowledges the WHO for  recognising Ghana as one of the countries to eliminate Trachoma, a leading infectious cause of blindness. The paper encourages stakeholders  in the health sector to take a cue from the steps taken 18 years ago by the Ministry of Health to eliminate the disease.The paper congratulates all stakeholders and its allied organisations for their effort in achieving this success story. The paper believes that the country has  the men and women who have what it takes to ensure the success of state programmes and projects.    


The Ghanaian Times laments about the manner in which football is faring and calls for changer in the way the game is handled on the continent. The paper says African countries have the potential to do better in the world cup, given the huge potentials and talents at its disposal. The Times is not happy about Africa's performance so far in the ongoing tournament and hopes that Senegal will lighten the continent by winning it game today.
