Ghana Card: Minority to ensure Ghanaians with Voters ID Card are registered 

The Minority says they will resort to every legal means possible to ensure that Ghanaians who have Voters ID Card are registered by the National Identification Authority (NIA).  

Speaking on our news and current affairs program ‘Behind the News’, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Kumbungu, Ras Mubarak, said the credibility of the Voter ID should not be an issue at all. 

He said the current provision as it stands now amounts to depriving most Ghanaians from taking part in the exercise, and the Minority will not sit aloof to let it happen.

The Deputy Majority Chief Whip, Moses Anim, said the U-turn by the Minority is a serious indictment as they were part of the process which amended the act.  

He noted that the actions of the Minority lack substance and expressed confident that it will be thrown out of court.
