Mobile phones and driving safety The use of mobile phones while driving is on the increase and one of the major causes of road crashes. What should the nation do to stop drivers and road users from committing murder on the road? This was the question posed to an expert, the General Secretary of the GPRTU, Issah Khalifa. He said the law should deal seriously with offenders and also withdraw the licences of those caught in the act. He believes this would reduce the number of crashes and preventable deaths on the road.
