Immigration Service launches plan to tackle migration

Deputy Minister for the Interior, Henry Quartey has stressed the need for pragmatic steps to ensure orderly and safe migration, that will benefit the countries of origin and destination. 

This is because even though migration has over the years become a major human development issue, if managed effectively, it could contribute to socio-economic transformation. 

Speaking at the launch of a five year Strategic Plan of the Ghana Immigration Service in Accra, Mr. Quartey expressed optimism that the move by the Service will help the country to manage migration and protect its borders efficiently.
