MP pushes for criminalisation of medical negligence

The MP for Wa West and the ranking member on the Health Committee of Parliament, Joseph Chireh, has attributed some needless deaths of patients in hospitals to the negligent behaviour of health professionals, aside from the recent controversy over lack of beds. 

He stated that there should be a general provision that will criminalise negligent behaviour by health institutions.
