Accra High Court grants interlocutory injunction restraining all officials of Ghana Football Association from using FA premises

An Accra High Court has granted an interlocutory injunction restraining all officials of the Ghana Football Association, GFA from using the premises. 

According to the presiding judge, Justice Samuel Asiedu, the injunction order is to last for 10 days after which the Attorney-General must come to court for renewal. 

The exparte interlocutory injuction moved by the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Gloria Akuffo, described the premises of the GFA as a crime scene, noting that if officials are allowed in, their actions will cause greater injury to the state.  

Madam Akuffo also said although the GFA is an independent entity, its activities are being funded by government, and per the Anas expose’, the organization was used for criminal activities, which makes the premises of the FA a crime scene. 

She said allowing officials implicated in the matter and any other official from the FA into the premises, will likely help them to perpetuate more illegalities.
