The much talked about registration and  issuing of National ID Card  dubbed the  Ghana Card today begun  successfully at the Jubilee House.  

The  exercise which was scheduled to take place on the 28th of last month was hit by a technical hitch, prompting the  Authority to suspend it indefinitely.  

The Authority made an  unannounced visit to the Jubilee House to register workers.  It is  not clear which other State Institutions such as the Police, Ghana Armed Forces, Parliament, Judiciary among other s will be  captured as scheduled.  

The \National ID Card will help modernise and  formalise the  Ghanaian economy through the  establishment of a credible National data base.  

The Card will be  the  primary ID Card that citizens will use to access all services in the  country including even travelling within the  West African Sub Region.
