Football administration should be for all – Experts

Panelists on GTV's current affairs programme “Talking Point” have called for the participation of both government and the citizenry in the day to day activities of football in the country. 

A former President of the Ghana Football Association, Nana Brew Butler, said government invests in national teams and so it cannot be denied a say in the running of the teams. 

He stressed that football must be managed as a public private partnership to make it more attractive.

For his part, a Sports analyst and lecturer at GIMPA Business School, Dr. Kwaku Ofosu Asare called for the adoption of a national policy to address the dwindling interest of Ghanaians in the local league. 

He suggested football be made effective in schools to whip up the interest of the youth at a tender age.

Former Black Stars player, Augustine Arhinful said the league board must be opened for people from all walks of lives and not restricted to only football professionals. 

He explained that the engagement of other experts will improve the administration of football in the country.
