Sanitation Authority to be introduced soon by the Ministry of Sanitation


The Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources is set to put up a Sanitation Authority to see to proper waste management in the country. 

Sector Minister Kofi Addah said the Authority will not be a duplication of what the Ministry is already doing. 

Speaking to Radio Ghana, Mr Addah stated that a draft policy is before Parliament for ratification and subsequent approval. 

The Sanitation Authority is coming at a time when the country, especially the capital is grappling with sanitation issues. 

The Authority when in place will help set standards on how to deal with the waste management in the country.
