Ghana to assist Guinea Bissau end country's political stalemate

Ghana has offered to assist Guinea Bissau to resolve its political crisis. The country which is scheduled to hold elections in November, this year is grappling with funding challenges.

This has compelled Prime Minister Aristide Gomes to embark on a sub-regional tour of West Africa to raise funds for the elections.  

At a meeting at the Jubilee House in Accra, Mr. Gomes urged   President Akufo-Addo to lobby ECOWAS to assist Guinea Bissau. President Akufo-Addo promised Ghana's support for restructuring and transformation of Guinea Bissau.
