NUGS demands apology over arrest of ‘open UGMC now’ campaigner

The National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) is demanding an apology and explanation from the office of the First Lady, Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo and the Police for the arrest of a student who protested over the opening of the University of Ghana Medical Centre. 

The General Secretary of NUGS, Nene Kabor Nartey said though the student has been released, they still want to know why a student who was just exercising his fundamental rights should be abused and arrested.
