'Open UGMC' campaigner granted bail - Police The Police have confirmed the arrest and subsequent bail of one Reginald Sakyie Brown who displayed a signpost with the inscription "Open University of Ghana Medical Centre”. This happened when the first lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo cut the sod for the construction of the maternity and children's block of the Korle Bu Teaching hospital. Speaking to GBC’s Radio Ghana, the Public Relations Officer of the Accra Regional Police Command, DSP Afia Tenge said the gentleman was arrested because his actions breached security procedures. Reacting to the claims by the Police, Security Expert Adib Saani, said the gentleman to some extent, committed a security breach. He however questioned the timeliness and vigilance of the security present at the ceremony, noting that the incident should not have happened.
