NDC Minority threatens legal action against finance minister over petroleum act breach

The National Democratic Congress (NDC), Minority in Parliament has threatened to send the Minister of Finance to court for what they say is a breach of the petroleum revenue management act, 2011.

Speaking to journalists in Parliament, The ranking member on the finance committee, cassiel ato Forson said, government has begun misappropriating oil revenues. 

He said it has come to their notice that a greater amount goes into funding the free SHS program.

He said the misappropriation is adversely affecting infrastructure development.
