Security Expert proposes setting up foundation for Major Maxwell Mahama As Ghana commemorates the death of Major Maxwell Mahama, Security Analyst, Emmanuel Kotin has suggested that a foundation be set up in his name to immortalise him. He said one year on the course for which he died has still not been achieved saying the fight against galamsey for which Major Mahama died has not been won. Speaking to Radio Ghana's Felix Cofie, Mr. Kotin said the memorial service to honour of Major Mahama is not enough. He said something memorable must be done in his honour and not just holding a memorial service. Mr. Kotin said the memorial service should have been held at Diaso where he died, and not at the military barracks. He said the town has suffered some sort of economic challenges after the unfortunate incident and therefore holding the service there will bring some re-assurance to the people.
