Uganda denies Ebola outbreak

Uganda's Ministry of Health has denied reports of an Ebola outbreak in the country. 

This comes after a patient passed away mysteriously in Mubende District of Uganda. 

The Health Minister Sarah Opendi said blood samples taken from the deceased had showed no signs of ebola. 

She explained that the 35-year-old man who was admitted to hospital two days ago was suffering from a high fever known as Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever and not Ebola.

Meanwhile, the attendants of the deceased who included his expectant wife and four others are being quarantined and closely monitored. 

To mitigate any possible exposure from contact with the suspect, all material used by the deceased, including a trolley and beddings have all been burnt.
