Mampong hospital appeals to public to identity lost relatives as it prepares for mass burial

Management of Asante Mampong Government Hospital has asked the public to go to the faciltiy's morgue and identify lost relatives as the hospital prepares for mass burial. 

The administrator of the hospital, Collins Kesse said this during a durbar to award hard working staff of the hospital. 

He expressed concern about the frequent water shortage at the facility and urged government and other benevolent organisations to go to their aid.
 
Management assured members of staff that with the support of the Management Advisory Committee, it will continue to explore ways to further expand welfare packages. 

It will also adopt strategies to respond to the health needs of residents of Asante Mampong and its environs. 

The durbar recognized the outstanding contributions of some staff toward the provision of health services to the people. 

A casual worker, Eric Asante was adjudged the 2017 overall best worker. 

He received a 32-inch digital TV, citation and one thousand Cedis. 

John Bonga and Jennifer Asuoko were also recognised for their hard work. 

The durbar was also to interact with stakeholders to share experiences while affording staff the opportunity to seek clarifications and answers from the top hierarchy of the hospital. 

The Medical Superintendent, Dr. Asamoah Nyarko-Jectey said staff whose attitude towards work are inconsistent with the code of conduct and disciplinary procedures of the Ghana Health Service would be referred to the disciplinary committee for appropriate sanctions to be taken against them.
