Champions League final: Real Madrid face Liverpool

The wait is over as Real Madrid and Liverpool compete in the final tonight at the NSC Olimpiyskiy Stadium in Kiev, Ukraine. 

The mouth-watering match will decide who will be awarded the coveted Champions League trophy.

The last time both sides met was in 1981. 

The defending champions and 12-time winners Real Madrid are bidding for their third successive title with Liverpool seeking the sixth in their history. 

Today's game will be the final match of the 63rd season of Europe's premier club football tournament organised by UEFA, and the 26th season since it was renamed from the European Champion Clubs' Cup to the UEFA Champions League.
