Formal education must groom students to be patriotic citizens - Educationist An Educationist and member of the Academic Board of the Accra College of Education, Beatrice Tsotso Adom, says formal education must groom students to be patriotic citizens who will positively fit into the new global order. She said quality education must train students who can make positive impact in society. This, therefore, calls for stakeholders in academia to be abreast of modern trends and fashion out modules to help train students appropriately. Mrs. Tsotso Adom was speaking at the 10th congregation of the Accra College of Education. Mrs Beatrice Adom urged the graduating teachers to discard the traditional method of teaching in the classroom where the teacher is the repository of all knowledge and students had no options. She said the new method should be more inclusive, constructive and appropriately shaped to fit every individual student's abilities and skills. 392 students graduated from the Accra College of Education with Kwame Yeboah Kyeremanteng adjudged the overall best student.
