Kelni GVG contract waste of public purse - Chamber of Telecommunications 

The Ghana Chamber of Telecommunications says the current Kelni GVG contract is a waste of public purse.

The 89 million dollar contract which will see government pay Kelni GVG 1.5 million dollars monthly has received bashing from civil society organisations including IMANI-Africa. 

The Head of Research and Communications at the Chamber, Derek Laryea said monitoring of Telcos should not be done at the expense of consumers. 

Speaking on an Accra based station, Mr.  Laryea stated that the contract is not necessary and must be looked at again.
