GFA deny reports Kwesi Nyantakyi has been replaced

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has denied reports suggesting that its embattled President Kwesi Nyantakyi has been replaced. 

The Association has backed Nyantakyi, insisting he still holds his position despite being under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Department for alleged defrauding under false pretense.

This follows allegations that he used the names of President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia to extort money from some investors.

But a statement signed by GFA General Secretary, Isaac Addo said Mr Nyantakyi ''remains innocent until he is proven guilty of all charges leveled against him."
