Pollution of Weija Lake

Residents and small-scale businesses operating around the Weija Lake in Accra are appealing for a security patrol team to be detailed to the banks of the lake. Some individuals in the area perform rituals in the lake, under the cover of darkness, and this pollutes the water. GBC24 carried a story on the issue several months ago, but our reporter - Thelma Tackie - who visited the lake May 23 says the problem still persists.
