Trade Minister inaugurates Textiles and Garments committee The Minister of Trade and Industry, Alan Kyeremanten says Ghana has not been able to exploit to the fullest trading opportunities under the African Growth and Opportunity Act, (AGOA) due to the country's inability to meet applicable international standards. Suitable standards, he noted, are key if the manufacturing as well as exports capacity are to be increased. Inaugurating a re-constituted Technical Committee on Textiles and Garments in Accra, Mr. Kyerematen in a message said conformity to standards must be rigidly upheld to satisfy customers and maximize market opportunities.
