Don’t mine bauxite in the Atiwa Forest, Green Livelihood Alliance to government Green Livelihood Alliance, an alliance of three CSOs on the environment is calling on government to rescind its decision to mine bauxite in the Atiwa Forest. According to the group, the bauxite at Atiwa is of lower quality as compared to the one in Nyinahyin in the Ashanti Region. Also, the economic value of the Atiwa Forest is not comparable to leverage of the Chinese loan that government has consented to.
