Police-Military Clash In Tamale: Committee Should Tread Cautiously – Peace Council

The National Peace Council is asking the committee set up to investigate the police-military clash in Tamale to be circumspect in handling the matter to avoid worsening the already volatile security situation in the Region. 

Chairman of the Council, Most Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Asante, speaking on our news and current affairs programme ‘Behind The News’ described the situation as worrying, especially when persons supposed to protect peace and security engage in a free-for-all fight. 

Rev. Prof. Asante said the committee and both the Police and Military High Commands must come out with clear guidelines to end the persistent conflict between the two security agencies once and for all.
