COMOG stresses on need for Imamship succession Framework in Ghana 

The Coalition of Muslims Organisation, Ghana (COMOG) wishes to congratulate Muslims in Ghana and around the world for being fortunate to be part of this year's Ramadhan. 

In a statement signed by the General Secretary Alhaji Abdel - Manan Abdel - Rahman, it calls on all muslims to take effective use of the 29 to 30 days period of fasting to forgive one another, seek closeness to Allah while respecting the rights of others. 

COMOG is particularly concerned about the use of loud speakers during midnight prayers, especially in religiously diverse communities. 

COMOG urges government to take the opportunity of the Rahmadhan to disassociate itself from the misguided comments of the Minister for Environment Science and Technology, Professor Boateng against Muslim call to prayers. 

The Coalition is calling on the Muslim community and the Advisory Council of His Eminence, the National Chief Imam to revisit the Leadership framework proposal that the organisation proposed two years ago to ensure that the Imamship succession Framework is established in Ghana.
