More genetic resources needed to address climate effects for food security- Dr. Lawrence Aboagye

The Director of Plant Genetic Resource Research Institute of the CSIR at Bonsu in the Eastern Region, Dr. Lawrence Aboagye, says more genetic resources needs to be collected for Ghana to address climate effects for food security. 

He said the institute is currently conserving only ten thousand genetic resources. Dr. Aboagye spoke to Joyce Gyekye about the effects of climate change on Ghana's genetic resources during an international workshop on the conservation of genetic resources using improved technology.
