YEA To Introduce National Database For Artisans The Youth Employment Agency (YEA), will from next month (June), introduce a national database for artisans in the country, to help them connect easily with persons who are seeking their services. The move, according to the YEA is to help sustain them in the job market. The artisans’ digital platform will link persons seeking artisanry services to professionals who are minutes away from them, just like how the Uber service is run. The initiative is expected to absorb 40,000 artisans in its first phase of implementation. In addition, the artisans will undergo various forms of training to ensure professionalism in their work. The Chief Executive of the YEA, Justin Koduah, said the objective is to get artisans closer to their customers and to also provide some relief to Ghanaians. On the issue of security for customers who will be admitting the unknown artisans into their premises, Mr. Justin Koduah, said managers of the digital platform will take feedbacks to ensure the artisans adhere to the set guidelines.
