Repair works on Asutsuare Bridge yet to commence

Information reaching Radio Ghana from Asutsuare in the Shai-Osudoku District says the bridge which was closed down by the Ghana Highway Authority a few weeks ago for repair works is yet to take off. 

According to residents, if urgent attention is not given, it may cause accidents as the metal plates on the bridge are weak. 

The situation, they noted has halted economic activities in the area which has led to illegal motor riders popularly known as ‘Okada’ taking advantage of the situation to exploit passengers by charging exorbitant fares.
