Two Chinese and a Ghanaian, have been arrested at an illegal gold mining site

Two Chinese and a Ghanaian, have been arrested at an illegal gold mining site at Jejeti in the Anyinam District by the joint military/police taskforce - Operation Vanguard.  

The security officers seized from them two excavators, a Toyota Hilux Pick-up, seven pumping machines and a generator. 

A statement issued by Squadron Leader Omane Agyei, Public Relations Officer, Operation Vanguard, said the three – Li Gui Yi, Zhou Zhi M and Eric Amoah, have been handed over to the police in Anyinam for further investigations and prosecution. 

The statement underlined the unwavering determination of the officers and men to go after anybody destroying the environment through illegal mining.
