Media protection policy needed to protect journalists – Expert

A Communication Expert, Dr. Messan Mawugbe said the media is central to any democratic governance in the world and any attack on journalists, affects the democratic credentials of the country. 

Speaking on our News and Current Affairs Programme, ‘Behind the News,’ Dr. Mawugbe said news emanates from the three arms of government and without the media there is no governance. 

He also called on all political parties to have a media protection policy to protect journalists in the performance of their duties.
