Wa residents rejoice over suspended Minister's reinstatement  

Residents of Wa in the Upper West Region are rejoicing over the reinstatement of the suspended Regional Minister Alhaji Sulemana Alhassan. 

They said President Akufo-Addo did the right thing by instituting investigation into the matter which eventually exonerated the Regional Minister.  

The residents have therefore expressed gratitude to the President and urged the Regional Minister to tread cautiously in dealing with party members and security agencies. 

Upper West Regional Alhaji Sulemana Alhassan was suspended in February by President Akufo-Addo for allegedly preventing the police from arresting some party activists who went to the Regional NADMO Coordinator’s office to attack him. 

People of the region after the suspension of the Regional Minister made several appeals to the president to reinstate the Minister. 

The appeal however, was not heeded to until the announcement of his reinstatement. Residents poured on the street singing and dancing to the news. 

Some of them thanked the president and described his as a listening person.

The residents say even though the reinstatement of the Minister is long overdue they are satisfied with the outcome and urged the Regional Minister not to conduct himself in a manner that will dent his image.
