Consensus building key to driving election of MMDCE's agenda - Expert A Local Governance Expert, Dr. Esther Offei-Aboagye, says for the election of Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) to be successful, government must intensify public education and ensure consensus building before going ahead to organise the election. Speaking to GBC’s George Ankrah on the proposed election, Dr. Offei Aboagye said the electorate must be clear as to what they want, and what they want to achieve with the election of MMDCEs. On whether the election could be on non-partisan basis, Dr. Offei-Aboagye explained, that it may be possible if the motivation for awareness is created and the excessive use of money is discouraged. Dr. Offei-Aboagye also touched on the considerations for the election in order to achieve political harmony, value and progress at the grass-root level. GBCONLINE ---DECRYPTED---
