Ghana Chamber of Commerce to establish business school - Nana Appiagyei Dankawoso

President of the Ghana Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Nana Appiagyei Dankawoso, says since the world is becoming a global village, there is the need for small and medium scale enterprises to build their capacities to meet the growing competition. 

He maintained that the role of the private sector in the growth of the country’s economy must not be downplayed. 

Speaking to GBC’s Radio Ghana on the sidelines of a day’s business meeting of the Tema Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Nana Dr. Dankawoso disclosed that the Chamber is taking steps to establish a Chamber Business School to educate members to meet current business demands.

Nana Dankawoso added that government policies on enhancing the operations of the private sector are in the right direction, as  the chamber is part of the decision making process. 

The Tema Regional Chairman of the GCCI, Alhaji Yussif Barry, said although leaders of the Chamber do not go out to monitor the operations of members like the security, resource persons including the ILO Corps are brought in to educate members on how to grow their businesses and enhance profitability.
