Government defends use of petroleum revenue on free SHS Government's spokesperson on infrastructure, Richard Asante Yeboah, says government is not going off tangent in applying petroleum fund to education, and in particular, to the Free SHS policy. He explained that already the petroleum fund is to be distributed along the sectors of agriculture, health and education to boost government's drive on development. Speaking to Ibrahim Kwarteng on Behind The News, Mr. Asante also noted that, government is not only concerned about development of the educational sector, but also working around the clock, in order to bring development to every sector of the economy. Meanwhile, a Governance Expert Prof. Emmanuel Asiamah says funding for Free SHS Policy will continue to increase anytime there is a fresh intake of students to Senior High Schools.
