3rd May, 2018 The Daily Graphic expresses appreciation of the improvement made by the Ghanaian media as it moved from the culture of silence to free speech. Though the paper acknowledges some difficulties still persisting in today's media, the strides cannot be compared to that of 25 years ago. On the occasion of World Press Freedom Day, the paper calls on all countries to push harder for the promotion of press freedom where journalists are not restricted in anyway while doing their work. It also wishes to salute all gallant men and women in the media in Ghana and the world over for their effort moving the wheels of democracy and good governance to a higher level. The Ghanaian Times condemns the continuous violation of the rights of journalists around the world and applaud those who continue to do their work despite these unfortunate developments. The paper urges members of the journalist society to continue with their good work in holding governments accountable for their stewardship despite their odds. GBCONLINE ---DECRYPTED---
